On September 17, 2024, PT Bintan Resort Cakrawala (BRC) was honored with a prestigious certification for its ongoing efforts in addressing AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria (ATM). This recognition was awarded by Dr. M. Subuh, MPPM, Chairman of the Indonesian Health Department Association (ADINKES), during a ceremony in Palembang, South Sumatra.
As a leading tourism operator, PT BRC has consistently prioritized health standards, ensuring a safe and sustainable environment for both employees and visitors. Through various programs, policies, and initiatives, the company has taken a proactive approach to public health.
In the fight against AIDS, BRC implements voluntary testing, educational seminars featuring people living with HIV/AIDS (ODHA), and collaborates with local health authorities to address and prevent discrimination. These efforts aim to raise awareness and provide a supportive environment for all individuals, including those affected by HIV/AIDS.
To combat Tuberculosis, PT BRC conducts routine health checks for employees and has established protocols in partnership with health authorities for managing any identified cases. BRC also works closely with Balai Kekarantinaan Kesehatan Kelas 1 Tanjungpinang to extend these efforts to workers and communities in port areas.
Malaria prevention has been a cornerstone of BRC’s health initiatives since its inception in Bintan. The company has focused on effective vector control, drainage improvements, and the use of innovative technologies to maintain a healthy environment.
A special thanks to Abdul Wahab, Chief Operating Officer PT. BRC for his leadership in driving these achievements. Through these continuous efforts, PT BRC remains committed to ensuring that Bintan Resorts remains a safe and healthy destination for both domestic and international tourists.
