5 Unique Cultural Spots in Bintan

Panglong Village is the largest sea gypsy village in Bintan where the way of life of sea gypsies has been preserved for hundreds of years.


Rumour has it that a large part of this grand mosque was made of eggs, gifts from the Sultan’s loyal subjects for his wedding.

Senggarang is the settlement of ethnic Chinese. Here lies a 200 year old Banyan Tree Temple, rumoured to be the oldest temple in Bintan.


Hidden away in a corner of Trikora Coast is the Grotto Santa Maria, the end point of a beautiful portrayal of the Stations of the Cross.


Otherwise known as the 500 Lohan Temple, the temple grounds hold up to 500 individual lohan statues, each unique and human like.
