22 couples from China made their wedding vows on Tuesday, 10th May 2016 in Bintan Island, Indonesia. This significant event was a result of a collaboration between Bintan Resorts, China company—Rose Wedding, Changi Airport Group, Singapore Airlines and Singapore Alive (member of JTB).
Along with family members, the couples were joined by Deputy Director of Shanghai Tourism Bureau during their stay in Bintan from 9-12 May. This added up to a crowd of 100 people that includes media and crew from the different provinces of China who assembled in Bintan to broadcast this group wedding ceremony on major TV stations and platforms. Besides the main wedding ceremony, pre-wedding photoshoots, site visits to the resorts, tours, golf and spa activities, sumptuous seafood meals were part of the itinerary.
In response to the growing demand for romantic and exotic wedding venues, a range of customised packages have been developed to position Bintan Resorts as an ideal honeymoon and wedding destination. Well-equipped with picturesque beaches and a range of lavish resorts, it is expected that the Rose Wedding event will pave the way for the island to become a fitting choice of destination for couples looking to hold weddings and honeymoons.
