How to Apply electronic visa on arrival?

Approximately just within 5 minutes of filling out documents and online payment, you surely won’t want to miss out on this opportunity. Here is a guide from the beginning of the process until you receive your e-VOA!

First of all, Visit Molina.imigrasi.go.id, login, make an account, and click apply.

Secondly, you have to prepare an active email address for the immigration officers to notify whether your permit has been granted or rejected. In addition to that, these informations and files are essential for the visa issuance form:

  1. Basic details about yourself such as–Name, date of birth, and phone number
  2. A Passport with a minimum validity 6 months before the date of arrival
  3. A softcopy of your biography page in your passport,
  4. A current color softcopy passport picture of yourself in a 4:6 ratio and at least 400 x 600 pixels in size
Please note that one account is only eligible for one passport holder only, as for that, infants and kids are expected to have separate accounts, so the above information also applies to them.

Moreover, following the completion, payment can be made using a Visa, Mastercard, JCB credit or debit card at your convenience. An Indonesian e-VOA costs IDR500k (around US$33)

Finally, upon successful application, immigration will verify the data and inform the issuer whether their permit has been granted or rejected through email you inserted earlier.

How to Spot Fake e-VOA Websites?

Due to Indonesian e-VOA popularity among foreign visitors across the globe, online swindlers prevail by posing a legitimate-looking e-VOA application platform, to the extent of the payment gateway platform usage. As of now, authorities are actively monitoring the occurrence of such websites and it is now labeled as the territory of cyber crime, said the interim Immigration Director General Widodo Ekatjahjana on December 6, 2022.

Here’s a guide how to spot fake e-VOA website:

  • Domain

Don’t get fuzzed over cheap tricks just pay attention closely to the website’s domain. There is only one official website for e-VOA applicants and that is Molina.imigrasi.go.id, so other than that, they are completely fake. In addition, official Indonesian government websites have always used the “go.id” domain, In this case, “.com”, “.Id”, and “,”co.id” are deemed as invalid.

  • Content

Some websites design and the deceptive domains might convince some visitors, the next thing you should pay attention to is the content. Some fake websites often offer tour packages and as Mr.Widodo explicitly said that “Indonesian e-VOA website did not offer tour packages.”.
